If your bike is stolen, or damaged by someone trying to steal it, we pay out up to the agreed value.

Bike theft is the most common reason Dutch riders lose a bike. Our Essential cover pays out when your bike is stolen from a locked position, and when thieves or vandals damage it. Your cover limit is the agreed value written on your policy, so there is no depreciation debate after a claim. A theft claim needs a police report reference and is assessed by one claims handler from start to finish.

The maximum we pay is fixed when you buy: your purchase price times an age factor (100%, 85%, 70%, then 55%).
Pick EUR 50, EUR 100 or EUR 250. A higher excess lowers your yearly price by up to 15%.
Bikes over EUR 1,500 need an ART-2 lock and bikes over EUR 5,000 an ART-3 lock, so honest riders are not paying for risky ones.
A claims handler takes your file and decides it. You see every status change in your account.
Yes. A theft claim needs the reference of your police report (at least 6 characters). You can file the report online in a few minutes.
We expect the bike to be locked as described in your policy. If it was not locked as required, the claims handler can decline the claim and will give you the reason.
A paid theft claim ends the policy because the insured bike is gone. You can insure a new bike from the same day.
